Ludwig Minnigerode (painter)
Ludwig Minnigerode (born April 12, 1847 in Stryj ( Galicia ), † 1938 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian portrait and genre painter .
Minnigerode studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Eduard von Engerth . After graduating, he taught at the Vienna School of Applied Arts of the Imperial and Royal Austrian Museum for Art and Industry .
His students included u. a. Gustav Klimt , Marie Arnsburg , Karl Martin Schade , Alois Hänisch and Alfred Basel .
He spent the last years of his life in Salzburg since 1918.
