Ludwig Ostermeier

Ludwig Ostermeier (born January 16, 1912 in Poing ; † November 6, 2006 in Eggenfelden ) was a German local and state politician ( BP ).

Career

Ostermeier was born as the son of a master craftsman. His mother died early. He completed an apprenticeship in a private bank and then worked as a bank clerk. When the financial institution had to close in 1929, he became unemployed and wandered through Germany and Austria . During this time he worked as a planter in the Ebersberg Forest , as a hop picker and as a harvest helper. In 1930 he found work at the Bavarian plywood factory in Ebersberg, but was unemployed again in 1931. In 1932 he signed up for voluntary labor service . He then continued his education at a private humanistic college. From 1938 to 1940 he was an accountant and cashier at BayWa . He then served as a soldier until the end of the war.

After being released from captivity, he came to Eggenfelden, which from then on remained the center of his life. For a short time he was deputy refugee commissioner in the district office. In 1946 he joined the Eggenfelden Road Traffic Office. In September 1948 he became a member of the Bavarian Party and in May 1949 was elected chairman of the Eggenfelden district association. In the state elections on November 26, 1950, he won a seat in the constituency of Eggenfelden / Vilsbiburg. He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament until the end of the electoral term in November 1954.

The Eggenfelden district council elected him as district administrator in 1952 . He stayed in this office until the district of Eggenfelden was dissolved in the course of the regional reform in July 1972. His primary focus was on road construction. During his tenure, the Karl-von-Closen-Gymnasium and the vocational school were built in Eggenfelden, the district office was expanded, the Eggenfelden airfield in the Zainach district was expanded into a traffic landing area and the construction of a new hospital was initiated. The founding of the Theater an der Rott goes back to his instigation and his enthusiasm for culture . He also brought the Salzburg director Adi Fischer to the theater as the first director.
