Ludwig Ramelsberger

Ludwig Ramelsberger (born August 6, 1899 in Passau , † January 22, 1965 in Vilshofen an der Donau ) was a German politician of the CSU .

Life

Ramelsberger attended elementary, secondary and commercial school and then trained as a businessman in an industrial company. After he was a soldier in World War I , he worked in several companies as a commercial clerk, accountant and authorized signatory . From 1929 to 1935 he headed the Griesbach branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Commerce in Vilshofen, after which he was promoted to director and first board member. During the Second World War he was used as a soldier on the Western Front.

After the war he took part in the founding of the CSU district association Vilshofen, of which he was also chairman. In 1946 he was elected to both the city council and the district council in Vilshofen, where he was chairman of the parliamentary group. From 1946 to 1948 he was the second mayor of Vilshofen. He was also chairman of the deanery of Catholic Action and was a member of the Passau diocesan tax committee. On September 6, 1953, he replaced Hugo Geiger who had left the Bavarian State Parliament . In these he was always elected directly in the constituency Vilshofen - Landau an der Isar in the subsequent elections . He belonged to the state parliament until his death, his successor was Josef Gallmeier .
