Ludwig Karl Emanuel Hugo Graf von Freyen-Seyboldsdorf , Herr zu Seyboltstorff (born December 2, 1870 in Freyen-Seyboldsdorf, † July 1, 1957 in Feldafing) was a Bavarian officer and German politician. Among other things, he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1924 to 1928 .

Life and activity

After attending a humanistic grammar school , Freyen-Seyboldsdorf joined the 16th Infantry Regiment "Grand Duke Ferdinand of Tuscany" of the Bavarian Army on September 1, 1892 . On December 21, 1892 he was promoted to sergeant and on February 7, 1893 he received the certificate of maturity for portepeef ensign.

From March 1, 1893 to January 22, 1894 Freyen-Seyboldsdorf was assigned to the war school . On March 5, 1893, he was appointed Portepeefähnrich. He received the certificate of maturity as an officer on December 16, 1894. On March 5, 1894, he was promoted to second lieutenant. On November 1, 1897, he was appointed battalion adjutant. On March 9, 1903, he was promoted to first lieutenant (regular from July 1, 1903) and on March 7, 1909, he was promoted to superfluous captain ( regular from May 1, 1909). On March 29, 1909 he was appointed company leader.

At the beginning of the First World War , Freyen-Seyboldsdorf went to war on August 8, 1914 as head of an MG company. He fought on the Western Front until he was wounded on October 3, 1914.

Later he lived as a landowner in Seyboldsdorf. After the First World War, Freyen-Seyboldsdorf began to be more politically active, with a strong focus on the extreme political right.

On December 17, 1924, Freyen-Seyboldsorf moved in as a replacement for Gregor Strasser, who had recently been elected to the Reichstag, as a member of the Bavarian state parliament. In this he belonged to the parliamentary group of the Völkisch bloc until 1928 .
