Ludwig von Godin
Ludwig Karl August Freiherr von Godin (born November 13, 1814 - October 27, 1898 in Munich ) was a Bavarian forest clerk and president of the Princely Hohenzollern Court Chamber .
Life
He was the son of the later district president Bernhard Freiherr von Godin and his wife Antoinette, née Freiin von Schleich. His godfather was the future Bavarian King Ludwig I.
Godin studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and became a member of the Corps Palatia Munich in 1833 . After completing his studies, Godin entered the higher state forest service as a forest intern in January 1835. He passed the state examination in 1837 with the rating “excellent” and was assigned to the district forest office for the Upper Palatinate . In July 1840 he became a district forester in Appersdorf , and in January 1847 forest commissioner for the government in Middle Franconia in Ansbach . Prince Karl von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen appointed him director of the allodial property in September 1851. Godin later became the royal Hohenzollern court chamber president and royal Bavarian chamberlain . He retired on October 1, 1891.
