Johann Ludwig von der Osten also Osten-Sacken (* 1710 in Copenhagen ; † 1756 in Braunschweig ) was a Russian , then a Prussian colonel , and finally a Saxon major general .

Life

Ludwig was a member of the house "Wisbu" in the district of Regenwalde , Pomerania of the noble family von der Osten . His parents were the Danish Colonel of the Guard on foot and Oberhofmarschall , then Prussian Privy Councilor , Chamber President and Oberlanddrost zu Minden Peter Christoph von der Osten (1659-1730) and his wife Louise Benedigte, née von Reichau (1670-1755) from the house Hornwalde.
