Luigi Capuano
Luigi Capuano (born July 13, 1904 in Cancro , Naples , † October 20, 1979 in Rome ) was an Italian film director and screenwriter .
Life
Capuano, who had attended the Academy of the Italian Air Force, was the commanding pilot in World War II and then worked as a sports journalist , only came to film at the age of 43. As a screenwriter and director of entertaining films of all kinds, initially often Neapolitan sentimental dramas and comedies , he gained a good reputation as a technically solid craftsman and director of genre films during the 1950s . Towards the end of the decade he began a long series of adventure films and concluded his career with an agent film and two spaghetti westerns . In 1971 his name was mentioned again in a mainly Spanish Zorro version for tax reasons . His pseudonym was Lewis King .
