Luigi Dardani

Luigi Dardani (born February 25, 1915 in Ganzanigo di Medicina , † December 18, 1999 in Imola ) was an Italian bishop.

Dardani was born the fourth of six children. Between 1918 and 1920 his father and three brothers died of the Spanish flu .

On September 18, 1937 Giovanni Nasalli Rocca di Corneliano made him priest for the Archdiocese of Bologna . On April 28, 1968, he was appointed Vicar General of Bologna by Archbishop Poma . On April 28, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him titular bishop of rebellion and auxiliary bishop in Bologna. Antonio Poma donated to him on May 25, 1969 in the cathedral of Bologna to the bishop. Co- consecrators were Gilberto Baroni , Bishop of Reggio Emilia , and Luigi Bettazzi , Bishop of Ivrea .

On March 12, 1974, Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Imola . At the end of October 1982 he became seriously ill and received the anointing of the sick in December . On May 8, 1983 he took over all his duties again. Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation on July 19, 1989.
