Luigi Matera
Luigi Matera (born February 11, 1820 in Rome , Papal States , † November 29, 1891 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .
Life
Luigi Matera received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Rome on December 21, 1845 .
On March 30, 1882, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Irenopolis in Cilicia and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Argentina . The Archbishop of Buenos Aires , Federico León Aneiros , donated him episcopal ordination on July 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Cordoba , Mamerto Esquiú Medina OFM , and the Bishop of San Juan de Cuyo , Venceslao Javier José Achával y Medina OFM.
