Luigi Testore (born April 30, 1952 in Costigliole d'Asti , Asti province , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Acqui .

Life

Luigi Testore received on 11 June 1977, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1980 to 1986 he was secretary to the Archbishop of Milan, Carlo Maria Cardinal Martini . In the Archdiocese of Milan he was a member of various diocesan councils. Pope John Paul II awarded him the title of Honorary Prelate of His Holiness on February 10, 1996 . From 2005 to 2013 Testore was President of Caritas Ambrosiana .

On January 19, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Acqui. The episcopal ordination donated to him on February 24th of the same year Mario Delpini , Archbishop of Milan. Co- consecrators were Carlo Roberto Maria Redaelli , Archbishop of Gorizia , and Erminio De Scalzi , Auxiliary Bishop in Milan.
