Luis Aguiar , full name Luis Bernardo Aguiar Burgos (born November 17, 1985 in Mercedes ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
Beginnings in Uruguay
The 1.83-meter-tall attacking midfielder Aguiar comes from the youth department of Liverpool Montevideo . He was at least from the Clausura 2003 in the first division squad of Liverpool. In that half series he came to eight appearances (no goal) in the Primera División . At the club from Montevideo , to which he also belonged in the following years, 15 more first division games of Aguiar with four goals scored are recorded in the statistics. At the beginning of January 2006 he joined the Chilean club Universidad de Concepción for a year on loan . In the Apertura 2006 he ran for the Chileans in 31 league encounters and scored nine goals. Once again, 15 league games with two goals at his former employer Liverpool for Aguiar will be played in the 2007 Clausura.
European stations
Then he made his way to other European countries at the beginning of July 2007, where he played for the Portuguese clubs FC Porto (no playing time), Estrela da Amadora (seven games, no goal) and Académica de Coimbra (twelve games, one goal ) in the 2007/08 season ) was under contract. Initially, it was reported that Porto had loaned the player for a year with an option to buy. At the end of August 2007, Aguiar was awarded to Estrela da Amadora. In the 2008/09 season he ran 28 times for the club in the Superliga, scored four goals and finished the season in fifth place in the table. In 2009, he worked for the Russian club Dynamo Moscow (14 games, two goals), which he joined at the end of May 2009 as a result of a rumored transfer payment of 2.4 million euros. In January 2010 he returned to Braga first on loan until June 2010, with his old and now new club secured a purchase option. With the Portuguese he completed 26 league games with five personal goals in the first half of 2010 and the following season.
Return to South America
After he went back to Uruguay in early January 2011 and joined Club Atlético Peñarol as part of a loan deal with the Moscow club, the 2011 Clausura will be playing eleven games for the Aurinegros . He hit the opposing net twice. In June 2011 he was also on the field in both finals for the 2011 Copa Libertadores , in which his club ultimately had to hand over the title to FC Santos . The next station is Sporting Lisbon , but he was not used there in the 2011/12 season. Rather, he left the club in September 2011 due to personal problems in connection with his wife's pregnancy. However, he was again on the field in that season from the change for Peñarol on January 5, 2012 on loan (14 games, six goals) . In the 2012/13 season he played for the Argentine club San Lorenzo . During the transfer in July 2012, the Buenos Aires club secured 50 percent of the transfer rights with a purchase option for the other half. His record with the Argentines shows three goals in 14 games. For the 2013/14 season, his engagement there ended, so that Aguiar returned to the reigning Uruguayan champions Club Atlético Peñarol. For the Aurinegros, he played 27 first division games in the 2013/14 season, in which he scored ten goals. He was also used in four games (one goal) of the Copa Libertadores and two games (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana. He then moved to Brazil to Vitória de Bahía . For the Brazilians, he played ten games (no goal) in Serie A and played twice (no goal) in the 2014 Copa Sudamericana . At the end of January 2015, he returned to Peñarol one more time. In 2015 he played 15 times in the Primera División and scored four goals. During the 2015/16 season he scored five goals in 21 league appearances and won the national championship with the club. He was also used five times (two goals) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 . His return to Sporting Braga was announced in late June 2016. Aguiar signed a contract with the Portuguese that runs until June 30, 2018. However, he remained without a competitive game and was then signed by Alianza Lima in early January 2017 . So far (as of August 10, 2017) Aguiar has scored 13 goals in 25 league games with the Peruvians and played twice (no goal) in the 2017 Copa Sudamericana .
National team
Aguiar was also a member of Uruguay's U-20 selection . In 2005 he was a member of the squad that took part in the 2005 U-20 South American Championship in Colombia .
