In doubles he had his most successful year with a top placement, 233rd place, which he was able to achieve in a row of 5 future titles and a few Challenger participations. At the Challenger Tournament in San José he was in the final with his partner Santiago González , where they lost 3: 6, 3: 6. Furthermore, thanks to a wildcard , he was with Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela for the first time in a main field of a tournament of the ATP World Tour in Acapulco . However, they were narrowly defeated in the opening round in the match tie-break with [6:10] . With the same partner he played his only time in the Davis Cup against Canada . They lost that match too. In 2012 he was able to build on his initial successes, but then hardly took part in tournaments. In 2013 he dropped out of the tennis world rankings and has been inactive for most of the time.
