Career

In 2003 Dáiz-Barriga played a professional tournament on the ITF Future Tour in Mexico for the first time . However, it was not until 2005 that he could win a match. In 2008 he managed to reach a semi-finals for the first time in doubles, a year later he won his first title and reached two more finals.

In 2010 he reached eleven finals in doubles futures, of which he was able to win five. This was the first time he was in the top 400 in the world rankings in a double. In the individual, he reached three semi-finals, but otherwise could not prevail decisively. At the beginning of 2011 he took part in the qualification of some Challenger tournaments , but only made it three times past the first round of the main field, where it always ended. Otherwise he had his only single future title in Mexico. In doubles he had his most successful year with a top placement, 233rd place, which he was able to achieve in a row of 5 future titles and a few Challenger participations. At the Challenger Tournament in San José he was in the final with his partner Santiago González , where they lost 3: 6, 3: 6. Furthermore, thanks to a wildcard , he was with Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela for the first time in a main field of a tournament of the ATP World Tour in Acapulco . However, they were narrowly defeated in the opening round in the match tie-break with [6:10] . With the same partner he played his only time in the Davis Cup against Canada . They lost that match too. In 2012 he was able to build on his initial successes, but then hardly took part in tournaments. In 2013 he dropped out of the tennis world rankings and has been inactive for most of the time.
