Gil made his debut in a US Open Cup game against DC United .
Later in the 2010 season, Gil was loaned to AC St. Louis . The franchise then played in the USSF Division 2 Professional League . He made his debut on August 20, 2010 against the Puerto Rico Islanders . He returned to Salt Lake in October 2010. In the coming years he developed into the team's regular player.
