Luis Pedro Cavanda (born January 2, 1991 in Luanda ) is a Belgian - Congolese football player .

Career

society

Cavanda went through the youth department of Standard Liège and moved to the Italian first division club Lazio Rome in 2010 . He made his Serie A debut on August 29, 2010 in the game against Sampdoria Genoa . For the second half of the 2010/11 season his club loaned him to Turin FC and for the second half of the 2011/12 season to FC Bari 1908 .

For the 2015/16 season, Cavanda moved to Trabzonspor in the Turkish Süper Lig for a transfer fee of 1.75 million euros .

After one season Cavanda left Trabzonspor and signed a three-year contract with Galatasaray Istanbul , Galatasaray also paid a transfer fee of 1.8 million euros. For the 2017/18 season, Cavanda was awarded to Standard Liège . There he came to 29 missions and was committed at the end of the season for 2.4 million euros.

In the 2019/20 season he was not part of the matchday squad in any game. After the season was broken off as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic , he reached an agreement with the club to terminate the contract by mutual agreement.

National team

Cavanda started his national team career in 2010 with a mission for the Belgian U-18 national team. He subsequently played for the Belgian U-19 and U-21 national team . On October 10, 2015 Cavanda made his debut for the Belgian national team in the European Championship qualifier against Andorra. Since November 2016 he has not been part of the national team.

Cavanda was born to an Angolan father and a Congolese mother in the Angolan capital Luanda . He moved to Belgium with his family as a child .
