Luiz Roberto Gomes de Arruda

Luiz Roberto Gomes de Arruda TOR (born June 21, 1914 in São Luiz de Cáceres , † December 6, 2003 in Aldeia de Sagarana ) was a Brazilian Roman Catholic clergyman and prelate of Guajará-Mirim .

Life

Luiz Roberto Gomes de Arruda joined the Order of the Regular Franciscans - Terziaren and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1945 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on April 24, 1964 as coadjutor prelate of Guajará-Mirim . With the resignation of Francisco Xavier Elias Pedro Paulo Rey's TOR on March 12, 1966, he succeeded him as Prelate of Guajará-Mirim. The Pope appointed him titular bishop of Feradi Minus on March 23, 1966 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Sebastiano Baggio , donated him episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Paulo de Tarso Campos , Archbishop of Campinas , and Tomás Vaquero , Bishop of São João da Boa Vista .

On May 26, 1978 he renounced his titular bishopric as part of the new allocation guidelines of the Roman Curia . He resigned from his office on November 3, 1978.
