Lukas Steinhauer (born August 27, 1992 in Rosenheim ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Starbulls Rosenheim from the DEL2 since 2015 .

Career

Lukas Steinhauer began his career in 2007 with Starbulls Rosenheim in the German Junior League , for which he went on the ice for three seasons. In the 2009/10 season he also made his debut in the league when he played four games for Rosenheim. After the Starbulls rose to the 2nd Bundesliga , Steinhauer was signed for three years by the Hanover Scorpions from the German Ice Hockey League , who loaned him to the upper division EHC Klostersee with a funding license . On October 17, 2010 he made his DEL debut against Eisbären Berlin , which the Scorpions won 3-2.

In December 2010 Steinhauer was given a license for the Hanover Indians from the 2nd Bundesliga and the Hanover Braves from the Oberliga Nord from the Scorpions . For the following season he received a production license for the Saale Bulls Halle and spent the entire season there.

In 2012 he signed a contract for one season with EHC Red Bull Munich and guarded the gate of the state capital behind national goalie Jochen Reimer . For the 2013/14 season Steinhauer moved as a substitute goalkeeper to the Schwenninger Wild Wings from the DEL and played five games for the Wild Wings during the season.

International

Lukas Steinhauer represented the German national ice hockey team at the 2009 U18 World Cup and the 2010 U20 World Cup .
