The Luscha ( Russian Лу́жа ) is a right tributary of the Protwa in the Russian oblasts of Moscow and Kaluga .

The Luscha is being built in Moscow Oblast. Shortly afterwards it crosses the border and flows through the Kaluga Oblast in a predominantly eastern direction. The middle town of Malojaroslavets lies on the right bank of the river. Finally the Luscha flows into the Protwa, 82 km above its mouth into the Oka .

The Luscha has a length of 159 km. It drains an area of ​​1400 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The river floods in April and May . The water level rises up to 6.1 m. The river usually freezes in November, but occasionally only in December. In April the river is free of ice again.
