Lutz Jürgen Heinrich

Lutz Jürgen Heinrich (born April 23, 1936 in Guben ) is a German-Austrian economist and full professor. (2004) for business administration and business informatics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz .

Life

After the second Abitur in 1955 at the Goethe-Gymnasium Berlin- Wilmersdorf (first Abitur in 1954 at the Friedrich-Engels-Oberschule Halle (Saale) ) Heinrich studied industrial engineering and mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin from 1955 to 1961 (distinction from the Siemens-Ring- Foundation as "best graduate of the year"). From 1958 to 1959 he completed a humanistic degree (geography, history, German literature, Spanish) at the TU Berlin. In 1961 he became an assistant at the chair for general business administration at the banks of the TU Berlin (chair holder Bernhard Hartmann , one of the founding fathers of business informatics ). In the following year he was appointed research assistant at the chair for applied business administration at the University of Karlsruhe (chair holder Hans Blohm ).

In 1963 the doctorate to Dr. rer. pole. (Doctor of Politics and Economics). 1964 to 1968 lecturer for mechanical and electronic data processing at the University (TH) Karlsruhe, the roots of scientific research and teaching of today's business informatics . 1968 Habilitation in business administration with a business information research problem (IT outsourcing), then private lecturer at the University of Karlsruhe, teaching and research area of organizational theory and electronic data processing , in particular medium-sized data technology . 1966 to 1968 assistant to the management of a medium-sized company in the metalworking industry. 1970 Initiation of and appointment to the endowed chair (s) "Organization theory and data processing (medium data technology)" at the University of Karlsruhe. In the same year appointment to the Johannes Kepler University Linz for a chair for general business administration, in particular manufacturing management and business data processing (today called business informatics). Appointments to chairs for business informatics at the Universities of Dortmund (1974) and Bamberg (1980) rejected. In 2004, on the occasion of his retirement, he was awarded the Silver Medal of Honor of the Province of Upper Austria and on the occasion of the presentation of the monograph "History of Business Informatics" in 2011 appointed " Consultant for Science", the highest award of the Province of Upper Austria for scientific achievements.
