Lutz Schwerinski (born February 16, 1966 ) is a former German soccer player who played for 1. FC Magdeburg and VfL Wolfsburg , among others .

career

Lutz Schwerinski joined the second-rate GDR league club Dynamo Schwerin in 1985 as a 19-year-old system mechanic from BSG Einheit Güstrow . The 1.84 m tall offensive player moved to BSG Stahl Brandenburg for one season in the GDR league in 1987 , but was unable to establish himself as a regular player with five appearances. He was only a substitute and was on the field for only 53 minutes.

Subsequently he was again at Post Neubrandenburg and from 1989 at Stahl Riesa in the GDR league, in these seasons 1988/89 and 1989/90 Schwerinski was one of the leading goalscorers with twelve and twenty goals respectively. In 1990 he was signed by 1. FC Magdeburg , for whom he scored six goals in 25 league games in 1990/91. Against Rovaniemen Palloseura and Girondins Bordeaux , he came with the FCM to a total of three appearances in the UEFA Cup. In the last GDR league season, Schwerinski missed qualifying for the 2nd Bundesliga with 1. FC Magdeburg within the NOFV Oberliga . In the following Northeast Oberliga season 1991/92 Schwerinski was used in 33 of the 38 played point games and scored 22 goals.

In 1992 Schwerinski moved to VfL Wolfsburg for one season in the 2nd Bundesliga, where he played 23 of the 46 point games and scored three goals. He then played at VfB Lübeck until 1998 . After two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga with 19 and three appearances, respectively, after the relegation of Lübeck in the following period was only active in the lower class. He ended his career in 2005 at FC Schönberg 95 in the fifth-class Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League.
