Lutz Schwiers

Lutz Schwiers (born June 18, 1904 in Bremen , † February 13, 1983 in Hamburg ) was a German actor .

Life

Schwiers was born as the son of the Bremen, later Szczecin factory owner Friedrich Schwiers and studied law and economics in Munich and Berlin . During his studies in 1924 he became a member of the Rhenania Munich fraternity . He decided to do an acting education, among other things he was taught by Leopold Jessner and went to the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna . As an actor he worked in Halberstadt, Mainz, Bonn, Koblenz, Düren and Stettin. In 1937 he became a member of the NSDAP (membership number 4.918.106). In 1941 he had to do military service, which is why he could no longer work as senior director in Krefeld. After the Second World War , he co-founded a drama group in Marburg, from which the Marburg drama later developed. Neuwied and Rendsburg also belonged to his sphere of activity.

Schwiers worked as a character actor at the Altona Theater from 1959 to 1979 . His daughter was the actress Ellen Schwiers and his son is Holger Schwiers .
