Karl Heinrich von Poseck (born February 7, 1718 , † 1784 in Stettin ) was a Prussian major .

Life

origin

Karl Heinrich came from the Schwarzburg noble family von Poseck . His parents were the Schwarzburg captain Heinrich Friedemann von Poseck († 1753) and Dorothee Elisabeth von Saltza .

career

Poseck began his career in 1734 in a Schwarzburg regiment, which came to Prussia via Mecklenburg in 1742. In the “Forcade” regiment he advanced to major. In 1762 he became the commander of a grenadier battalion which emerged from the grenadier companies of regiments No. 1 and No. 23 . January 23, 1770 to his death Poseck served as regimental commander of Szczecin Country Regiment supplied.

He took part in the battles near Hohenfriedeberg , Soor , Reichenberg , Prague , Roßbach , Leuthen , Zorndorf , Liegnitz , Hochkirch , Torgau and Freiberg . He was lightly wounded off Prague and badly wounded at Torgau. At Freiberg, his grenadier battalion made the first attack together with the "Woldeckschen", where he acquired the order Pour le Mérite .

Poseck was the heir to Wolfshausen , Bösleben and Rottenbach .
