Mária Starovská

Mária Starovská (born Haščíková ; born March 2, 1959 ) is a former Slovak long-distance runner who started first for Czechoslovakia and later for Slovakia .

In 1988 she became national champion over 10,000 m and in 1991 in the marathon .

In 1989 and 1992 she won the Tiberias marathon and in 1991 the Košice marathon . At the 1990 World Cross Country Championships she came in 63rd place. In 1992 she won the Barcelona Marathon and the Berlin Half Marathon .

Mária Starovská started for the clubs Sparta ČKD Praha and ZVL Žilina.
