Mã Minh Cẩm (born September 3, 1975 in Vietnam ) is a Vietnamese carom player .

Career

He secured his first podium in international tournaments to 2013 in Inchon in the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in the cover with a bronze medal. In May 2016, Ma reached the quarter-finals for the first time in front of a home crowd in Ho Chi Minh City at the World Cup . In the game against the multiple world champion Dick Jaspers from the Netherlands it was a draw, in the subsequent penalty shootout he could only score 1: 3 points. His greatest success so far was, also bronze, at the three- cushion world championship 2017 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and a new world record in the general average (GD) of 2.123. From there he flew to Houston, Texas, USA, played at the USBA Open Tournament and won it. In the final, he beat the American Pedro Piedrabuena . Third was his compatriots Dương Anh Vũ and Trần Quyết Chiến , who had traveled with him from the World Cup. At the 3rd World Cup in June 2018 in Blankenberge, Belgium, he finished 6th after failing in the quarter-finals against the Greek Nikos Polychronopoulos . With a maximum series (HS) of 18, he sets the tournament record and his own.
