Märten Kross (born June 21, 1970 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian musician , artist , film producer and writer .

Life

Märten Kross was born in Tallinn to Ellen Niit and Jaan Kross . After graduating from high school, he studied in New York at the International Center of Photography , at the Estonian Academy of Art and at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham , where he obtained his master's degree .

Kross was married to the actress Kärt Hansberg, with whom he has three children.

Artistic activity

Kross played guitar since high school and was a member of various bands. After completing his training, he worked as an entrepreneur, and also as a photographer and film producer.

In 2014 he published his first novel, Wahnsinnsspiel , in which he describes how he tried to avoid Soviet military service in Estonia at the end of the Soviet era. The critics praised the work: It was "written in a fluid style", had "dry humor" and impressed with its "honesty".
