Mönchwald is a village and a forest area in the market town of Königswiesen in the district of Freistadt , Upper Austria .
The village is part of the Mönchdorf cadastral community and is located southeast of Freistadt and on the western edge of the Weinsberg Forest on the southern slope of the forest area of the same name to the left of the valley of the Große Naarn . The scattered settlement, a little north of Mönchdorf, consists of several individual layers. On January 1, 2020, the village had 86 inhabitants.
