Müggenhausen is a district of the community of Weilerswist in the district of Euskirchen , North Rhine-Westphalia and together with Neukirchen and Schwarzmaar forms the statistical locality of Müggenhausen with 481 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The district is located southeast of Weilerswist. The county road 3 (Rhein Str.) Leads through the town. The federal highway 61 runs on the eastern edge of the village .

history

Müggenhausen celebrated its 700th anniversary in 2002. On July 1, 1969, Müggenhausen was incorporated into Weilerswist.

Laurentiuskirche

There was a St. Roch chapel from the 16th century in the village . The following church had to be demolished in 1897 because it was dilapidated, but the St. Laurentius Church was consecrated in 1901. Worship services take place there every week.
