geography
course
The Mühlgraben rises in the Haßfurt Main Valley at an altitude of about 288 m above sea level. NN in the Buchenleithen corridor just under one kilometer northeast of the municipality of Gädheim . Its source is located in an agricultural zone north of the Eichelberg, directly west of the municipal boundary between Schonungen and Gädheim.
It initially flows strongly straightened about 200 m parallel to a country road southwest through an agricultural zone, then bends almost at right angles to the north-northwest, crosses the country road and then continues for about 300 m in a south-westerly direction accompanied by the country road. It now flows through thick wood to the south-south-west and is fed by a ditch a good hundred meters long in the Denis Aecke corridor on its left. The Mühlgraben now moves about 300 m to the southwest through the Grabenäcker corridor , then reaches the northern foothills of Gädheim and is strengthened by a second ditch on its right. The Mühlgraben now runs south-west, then disappears underground on the outskirts of Gädheim north of the local kindergarten and passes underground through the village.
It reappears beyond the municipal boundary, which is also the district boundary between the Haßberge district and the Schweinfurt district , in the area of the Grettstadt community and finally flows south of Gädheim at approximately Main km 342.5 at an altitude of 209 m above sea level . NN from the right and north into the Main .
