The coin find from the Dionysius Church in Bremerhaven-Wulsdorf , sometimes also called “Wulsdorfer Silberschatz”, consists of 57 silver coins dating back to 1430. It is the content of an offering box that was discovered on November 8, 2002 during restoration work and archaeological investigations in the Dionysius Church in the Bremerhaven district of Wulsdorf . Since the excavations in 2002 and 2003, this church has been the second oldest building in the state of Bremen after the Bremen Cathedral . It was founded around 885, the current structure was built in the 11th century.

The coin find, which was made in an almost completely old wooden box, contains late medieval hollow pennies and swaren from Bremen , Verden , Stade and Oldenburg , as well as 25 modern coins, mainly from the area between the Elbe and Weser .

Although the Bremer Focke-Museum tried to get the coins, it was decided that they would be handed over to the Historisches Museum Bremerhaven .
