The MBDA Germany GmbH is a German defense contractors. Together with its 100% subsidiaries TDW Gesellschaft für v Defensestechnische Wirksysteme mbH and Bayern-Chemie Gesellschaft für Flugzeugchemische Antriebe mbH as well as the various program companies, it forms MBDA Germany .
As a legally independent wholly-owned subsidiary of the European and globally active MBDA , the company generates annual sales of around 300 million euros. Around half of the turnover comes from transatlantic cooperation programs. In addition to the headquarters in Schrobenhausen , the company also has locations in Aschau am Inn and Ulm .
The defense industry company develops, produces and services guided missile systems, components and subsystems for the air force, navy and army.
history
In 1995, all guided missile activities of DASA (today Airbus Group , formerly EADS ) and Dornier GmbH were merged into LFK-Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH. Since 2006, as part of the European consolidation of the guided missile division, the company has been part of the European and globally active MBDA , a company with 10,000 employees worldwide and around EUR 3 billion in sales per year. On May 9, 2012, LFK-Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH was renamed to MBDA Deutschland GmbH.

MBDA Germany employs around 1300 people at its locations in Schrobenhausen (headquarters), Aschau am Inn and Ulm. From 2006 to April 2012, the Schrobenhausen headquarters was expanded and modernized. For this purpose, laboratory and office buildings, an integration hall and a simulation center were built in the Hagenauer Forest. In addition, a new company restaurant, a parking garage and a fitness studio have been built. In total, MBDA Germany has invested over 100 million euros in the modernization of the traditional location. The relocation of all MBDA employees from the EADS location in Unterschleißheim to Schrobenhausen was completed in 2012, which means that more than 1000 employees are now working in Schrobenhausen.
Products
MBDA Germany mainly develops and produces air defense and guided missile systems, components and subsystems for the armed forces of the German armed forces, some are also used internationally.

- the MIM-104 Patriot anti-aircraft missile system

- the RIM-116 RAM close-range defense system for ships
- the intelligent detonator PIMPF (Programmable Intelligent Multi Purpose Fuze) for use in bunker-piercing weapons such as Taurus cruise missiles, Naval Strike Missiles and the American bunker blasters
