MC Bruddaal (born June 16, 1980 in Schorndorf , real name Henrik Brislow ) is a Swabian rapper .

MC (spoken German: äm zee) is the abbreviation for the English expression Master of Ceremonies , which numerous rap artists have in their name. Bruddaal (standard German for brutal) is a typical Swabian expression to express the increase in something in a positive sense. He created the fictional character on the basis of two occasions. On the one hand he wanted to write a song about Stuttgart during the protests against Stuttgart 21 , on the other hand he came across the format Bauer sucht Frau on television and there the Swabian Martin, whose Swabian dialect he imitated in the Freundeskreis. This is how the song Oba bleiba came about.

Life

MC Bruddaal landed his first hit in 2013 with a declaration of love to Stuttgart under the title Du bisch mei number one . The song was published on Youtube , where the video has now been clicked more than 900,000 times (status: 02/2020). The success of the video resulted in a cooperation with the radio station Antenne 1 for a rapped weekly review in Swabian as well as appearances on SWR television, among others . In 2015 he released the first album Bollahits . The album Schwepisch followed in 2016 . He has been publishing a rapped annual review since 2017. In 2018 MC Bruddaal released the song D'r Swabian Nelly together with Dodokay .

The lyrics are about Swabian cultural goods, such as the Kehrwoche and the Mercedes-Benz , and Swabian cuisine , such as Maultaschen, Spätzle and pretzels. Henrik Brislow was born in 1980 in Schorndorf as the son of Swedish immigrants. Brislow's mother tongue is Swedish . Only in kindergarten did he learn German or Swabian. Brislow has a master's degree in business administration from the Kiel University of Applied Sciences and is a trained graphic designer.
