Peter Hölzel

Peter Hölzel (born September 11, 1939 in Radebeul ; † March 6, 1990 in Dresden ) was a German film and theater actor .

biography

Hölzel attended the State Drama School in Berlin from 1960 to 1962 . Until 1971 he mostly only had short engagements in various companies. From 1971 until his death in 1990 he was continuously engaged at the Dresden State Theater, where he played in the Schauspielhaus and also in the Small House.

"Unforgettable" was his main role in 1983 as that of the National Socialist Adolf Eichmann "in a sensational" production of the play Bruder Eichmann by Heinar Kipphardt , which was performed posthumously in the Great House on September 8, 1983, directed by Horst Schönemann and with the music by Eckehard Mayer was first performed in the GDR.

Hölzel is also known for film roles such as Wolz - Leben und Verklerung einer German Anarchist (1973), where he played the cashier, and in Startfieber (1986) as Father Bergler ; the youth film Startfieber was based on a template by Hölzel. In One Carrying the Other's Burden… (1988) he played Truvelknecht.

In 1984 Hölzel lived at Schuchstrasse 9 in Radebeul-Niederlößnitz .
