The Baojun 530 is a sports utility vehicle from the Baojun brand , which belongs to the Chinese automobile manufacturer SAIC GM Wuling and has been available as the successor to the Baojun 560 since 2018 .

history

The vehicle was presented in November 2017 at the Guangzhou Auto Show . It has been on sale in China since March 2018. There the seven-seater SUV is positioned above the Baojun 510 .

The vehicle was launched on the Indonesian market in January 2019 . There it is sold under the Wuling brand as Wuling Almaz . It was already presented in August 2018 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show as a Wuling SUV .

The SUV has been sold in India as MG Hector since June 2019 .

The second generation of the Chevrolet Captiva , which is only sold in a few countries such as Colombia or Thailand , is based on the Baojun 530.

The Changan CS75 and the Haval H6 are among the competition models of the SUV .

Technical specifications

When the Baojun 530 was launched, a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a maximum output of 110 kW (150 hp) and a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 101 kW (137 hp) were available. The 1.5-liter engine was initially available with a six-speed manual gearbox and six-speed dual clutch gearbox , which was later replaced by a continuously variable gearbox ; for the 1.8 liter engine there was only a five-speed automatic transmission . All variants have front-wheel drive .
