The MSC Jade is a container ship of the shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), based in Geneva . She is the first of twelve ships in the Pegasus class and with 19,437 TEU one of the largest container ships in the world. At the time of commissioning, it was the container ship with the highest nominal number of container spaces. In 2017, it was exceeded by the MOL Triumph with 20,170 TEU.

The MSC Jade was commissioned from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering on October 29, 2014 . The keel was laid on December 10, 2015 and the launch on February 12, 2016. The ship was handed over to the client on May 18, 2016.
