Mackenzie Ziegler
Mackenzie Frances Ziegler (born June 4, 2004 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American dancer , singer , actress and model .
Life
family
Mackenzie Ziegler is the daughter of Melissa Gisoni and Kurt Ziegler of Polish, German and Italian descent. She is the younger sister of Maddie Ziegler . She also has two half-brothers from her father's first marriage and two step-siblings from a previous marriage of her step-father. After living in a small house in Murrysville, Pennsylvania for several years, the family moved into a larger, new single-family home in 2015 .
Education and career
Since the age of three she was trained as a dancer as an active member of the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh. Ziegler was also a permanent member of the reality TV show Dance Moms , produced by Lifetime Television in Pittsburgh , in which she had been a part since 2011. Ziegler attended elementary school until 2013 before taking home schooling.
In addition to her training as a dancer, she took singing lessons and released her first single It's a Girl Party on March 18, 2014 under the stage name Mack Z , which reached number 85 on the Irish Singles Chart. On April 26, 2014 her debut album Mack Z was released.
In 2015 and 2017, she guest-starred as Lilly in one episode each on the Nickelodeon- produced sitcom Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn . On April 28, 2017 she released her single Monsters (AKA Haters) .
In November 2018 Ziegler released her second album Phases , which contains the single Wonderful , written by the Australian singer Sia , among others .
Activity as a model
Ziegler works as a model and in October 2014, together with her sister, released a fashion collection limited to 100 unique pieces called the Maddie & Mackenzie Collection and ran for the Ralph Lauren Corporation in New York City in 2015 .
In July 2017 she also started her own fashion collection together with Tween Brand, based in New Albany , Ohio , and their retail chain “Justice” under the title “Mackenzie Ziegler for Justice Active”. "Justice" and Ziegler published the song Teamwork and an accompanying official music video to promote the collaboration.
In September 2018, Ziegler released her own make-up line Love, Kenzie .
social commitment
In 2012, Ziegler and her mother and sister Maddie entered into a partnership with Starlight Children's Foundation , which cares for chronically ill children and adolescents. Ziegler stated that she would like to devote her time to helping other children and that it was a rewarding experience. In May 2016, Ziegler and her sister announced that they would be supporting a birthday campaign for 'DoSomething.org', which enables people to send homemade birthday cards to children living in homeless shelters.
