Madonna and Child in Étroussat

The sculpture Madonna and Child in the church of St-Georges in Étroussat , a French commune in the Allier department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , was created at the end of the 17th century. In 1924 the baroque sculpture was classified as a monument historique .

The 87.5 cm high sculpture made of wood is colored in focus and gilded. The naked baby Jesus is held in her arms by Mary , both heads are pointing to the left.
