Maggy Nagel (born August 25, 1957 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgish politician of the Democratic Party (DP).

Maggy Nagel became the first lay judge in the Bad Mondorf community in 1994 . From 1996 to 2013 she was mayor of the municipality.

In 1999 she was elected to the Luxembourg Parliament for the first time . In 2004 and 2009 she did not manage to move back in. She was only re-elected during the early parliamentary elections in 2013 .

From 2013 to 2015 she was Vice President of the DP.

Since December 14, 2013, she has been Minister for Culture and Minister for Housing in the Bettel-Schneider government . On December 16, 2015, she announced that she was stepping down from government offices due to increasing criticism of her work. Marc Hansen became the new housing minister, and Prime Minister Xavier Bettel also took over the cultural department , supported by Guy Arendt, who had moved up to the government as State Secretary . On April 1, 2016, Nagel moved to the Ministry of Economic Affairs as a member of the government, where she was responsible for the contribution of her country to the 2020 World Exhibition .
