Magnus Friedrich op dem Hamme called von Schoeppingk (born November 11, 1779 , † November 23, 1855 in Mitau ) was a German-Baltic baron, lord on Bornsmünde and a Russian privy councilor .
Life
He began his military career in the Imperial Russian Army in 1799 with the Russian Guard on horseback in Saint Petersburg . In 1802 he was promoted to Rittmeister and in 1804 he received his farewell as a colonel . In 1805 he was appointed chamberlain appointed, an office he held until 1815, he was a member of the Board of Assignatenbank and Director of the bill rate - counting houses . Ultimately, he was appointed privy councilor. He was Fideikommißbesitzer of the manor Born Pomerania and owner of the estate Lambertshof (1833-1834) and Greyersdorf.
Origin and family
Magnus Friedrich came from the Baltic Uradel Op dem Hamme gen. Von Schoeppingk . His parents were Dietrich Ernst op dem Hamme gen. Von Schoeppingk (1749-1818) and Elisabeth von Stackelberg (1760-1837). His brother was the Russian major general Otto Friedrich op dem Hamme gen. Von Schoeppingk (1790–1874). In 1817 he married the Countess Dorothea von Medem , heiress of Keweln in Courland. Her son Alexis (1820–1855) was married to Alexandra Countess von Lieven (1831–1914).
