Johan Magnus Wikström (born December 7, 1977 ) is a former Swedish football player who was successful primarily as a defender in Swedish professional football.

Career

Wikström comes from the youth of the Örebro club BK Forward . He made his debut for the club in 1995 in the second division, but rose with the team at the end of the following year in the third division. It was not until 1998 that he established himself in the team and was a regular in the third division in the following years. At the end of 2002 he rose again with her to the second-class Superettan . At the end of the second division season in 2003 , in which he had been on the ball in 28 season games, the direct relegation followed. He then moved to Gefle IF within the league . In 29 second division games, he contributed to promotion to the Allsvenskan , where he ran up in two seasons for the club from Gävle .

In the 2007 season, Wikström moved back to Örebro, the new club was the first division club Örebro SK . There he finally established himself as a regular player in his second season under coach Sixten Boström . Temporarily placed in the top third of the table, he missed relegation with the team at the end of the 2012 season. He was also a regular in the second division, and under coach Per-Ola Ljung he managed to get back up straight away alongside Patrik Haginge , Shpëtim Hasani , Karl Holmberg , Ahmed Yasin Ghani , Oscar Jansson and Samuel Wowoah . In the 2014 season he played 27 league games again, after which he ended his active professional career.
