Ali Mahmoud Hassan ( Arabic محمود حسن, DMG Maḥmūd Ḥasan ; * December 15, 1919 in Cairo ; † September 10, 1998 ) was an Egyptian wrestler .

International career

He made his first international appearance at the European Championships in Prague in 1947 , where he won the bantamweight division. At the 1948 Summer Olympics in London , he won the silver medal in bantamweight . At the 1950 World Championships in Stockholm he won the bantamweight competition. At the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki , he lost in the first round against the eventual Olympic champion Imre Hódos from Hungary.
