Mahmut Yilmaz (born October 6, 1979 in Hamburg ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .
Athletic career
Club career
Born in Hamburg, Yilmaz, who comes from the youth of SC Vorwärts-Wacker Billstedt , moved to Hamburger SV in 1997 , where he scored 42 goals in 121 appearances for the second team from 1997 to 2003. (From 1997 to 2000 in the Regionalliga Nord , 2000–2002 Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein, 2002–2003 Regionalliga Nord).
During this time he also made 13 appearances in the Bundesliga for the first team. In 2003 he moved to Manisaspor in Turkey , where he stayed until February 2006. There he was only used once (without a goal). From 2007 to 2010 he was active for Eintracht Norderstedt (2007/08 Hamburg League, 2008–2010 Oberliga Hamburg). From 2010 he played one season with the Hamburg club Hamm United FC . After a break of several years, Yilmaz has been playing for the UH-Adler club since 2015.
Selection bets
In 1999 Mahmut Yilmaz took part in the Junior World Cup in Nigeria and was used in two of three games in the preliminary round from the German U-20 selection . From September 1999 to August 2001 he was part of the squad of the U-21 team of the DFB , but they missed qualifying for the 2002 European Championship . Mahmut Yilmaz played 16 international matches during this period, in which he scored four goals.
