Maicon dos Santos (born September 18, 1981 in Rio do Sul , Santa Catarina , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player on the position of midfielder . He is currently playing for CA Metropolitano in his Brazilian homeland .

Career

Dos Santos started his career in teenage male sheep Tens of Alto Vale SC and from Joinville (Brazil) originating, Joinville SC . Then he joined the team of the CA Metropolitano, to which he remained loyal until 2003, before he transferred to Austria to FC Lustenau in the local first division . With the Lustenauers he only came 9th in the first division at the end of the 2003/04 season , which is why FC Lustenau had to play two relegation games against SCR Altach . In the end they just failed because of the Altachers who managed to stay up with a total score of 6: 4. Lustenau lost very tightly in the two games, 3-2 in the first leg and 3-2 again in the second leg. In 2004 he took this as an opportunity to move to Vienna to join the amateurs of FK Austria Wien . For the Viennese he played in the 2004/05 season with the amateurs, in the 2005/06 season with the professionals and in the 2006/07 season again with the amateurs of the club. In the 2005/06 season he also managed to get the championship title with the Austrian team , which was his greatest success so far. In the summer break before the 2006/07 season , dos Santos was without a club. But only two months later, in September 2007, he received an offer from the CE de Bento Gonçalves in his native Brazil, which he accepted shortly afterwards. In January 2008 his first professional club contacted dos Santos and asked him to come back to the team. This is what happened and dos Santos moved again to Clube Atlético Metropolitano, which he had already left in 2003 to go to Austria. In January 2009 he was awarded again by the Clube Atlético Metropolitano to FC Lustenau, for which he scored a goal in 14 games and made four assists by the end of the 2008/09 season . After the end of the season he returned to the CA Metropolitano.
