Maike Ulrika Timmermann (born March 24, 1989 in Husum ) is a German soccer player .

Career

In her youth Maike Timmermann played for Blau-Weiß Friedrichstadt and 1. FC Binz. At SV Frisia 03 Risum-Lindholm she supported the women and with the team she was promoted to the Northern League. During the winter break in 2010, she moved from TuRa Meldorf (Schleswig-Holstein League) to Hamburger SV , where she was initially used in the 3rd team. With this team she was promoted to the regional league in 2010 . From February 2011 she played in the 2nd team and won the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga North .

2011/12 season

In May 2011 she signed a two-year contract with the first team of Hamburger SV and made her debut in the women's Bundesliga on August 21, 2011 against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (0: 4). She scored her first competitive goal in the first team jersey on September 11, 2011 in the DFB Cup against SV Blau-Weiß Hohen Neuendorf to 3-0, her first Bundesliga goal on November 6, 2011 against SG Essen-Schönebeck (final score 1 :1). In the first half of the 2011/12 season Maike Timmermann was able to firmly establish herself in the women's Bundesliga, she was used in all ten games for Hamburger SV, nine of which she was in the starting line-up and scored two goals. In the second half of the season their playing time decreased, among other things due to injury. She was substituted on 8 times in 9 games. She scored another 3 goals. In the DFB Cup, she scored 3 goals in 4 games. At the end of the season, Hamburger SV withdrew the first team for the women's Bundesliga and 2nd women's Bundesliga, despite having been able to stay in the league (9th place), in order to compete in the Regionalliga Nord in the 2012/13 season .

2012/13 season

On July 1, 2012 Maike Timmermann moved to the second division club SV Werder Bremen . In the 2012/13 season of the 2nd Bundesliga North she was used in 21 games, 9 of which she was on the starting line-up and scored 7 goals. In the DFB Cup, she scored 4 goals in 3 games. SV Werder Bremen ended the season in 5th place in the table.

2013/14 season

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season Timmermann played for the second team of SV Werder Bremen in the Regionalliga Nord , but was also used in the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga North . In January 2014, she dissolved her contract with SV Werder and switched to regional league competitor Holstein Kiel , with whom she was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga as champion at the end of the season.

In the summer of 2016 she left Holstein Kiel again and went to TSV Klausdorf .

In October 2009 Timmermann began studying to become a teacher at the University of Hamburg . She has been continuing her studies in Oldenburg since 2012 .
