history

The club was founded on October 1, 1885 as the Meldorf men's gymnastics club. The club has had its current name since February 8, 1950. In addition to football, the club also offers aqua fitness , badminton , boxing , drums alive , fencing , fitness , floorball , health sports , handball , cardiac sports , athletics , cycling , rehab sports , wheelchair sports , Sambo , swimming , sports badges , tai-bo , dancing , gymnastics , volleyball and zumba .

Women's soccer

In 1996 the club founded a girls' team, which four years later became a women's team. In the very first season they were promoted to the Schleswig-Holstein Association, which has been called the Schleswig-Holstein League since 2008. In 2007 the team reached the final of the SHFV Cup for the first time, but lost to the FFC Oldesloe 2000 . Three years later, the Meldorfer made it into the final again and lost against the second team of FFC Oldesloe 2000 1: 4. Due to a rule change in the meantime, TuRa was allowed to take part in the DFB Cup as a cup finalist. In the first round of the 2010/11 season, the Meldorfer lost against Werder Bremen with 0-2.

Two years later TuRa was runner-up in the Schleswig-Holstein League behind TSV Ratekau . Since Ratekau did not register for the regional league, the Meldorfer moved up in the promotion round , but failed at Bramfelder SV . The third final of the SHFV Cup was lost in 2013, this time with 1: 4 against SV Henstedt-Ulzburg .

A year later, after a series of fortunate circumstances, they were promoted to the regional league. TuRa was third in the Schleswig-Holstein League behind SG Ratekau-Strand 08 and SSC Hagen Ahrensburg . Both clubs renounced the promotion round , whereby TuRa moved up. As second in the promotion round behind Bramfelder SV, promotion was only achieved because TSV Eintracht Immenbeck voluntarily withdrew from the Regionalliga Nord. After only one year, the Meldorfer were consequently relegated as the penultimate. The final in the SHFV LOTTO Cup 2014/15 was clearly lost in front of their own audience against SV Henstedt-Ulzburg with 0: 9 (0: 7).

Men's soccer

In the 1950s and 1960s, the men of TuRa Meldorf commuted between the district league and the district league for a long time before the team rose to the Landesliga Süd for the first time in 1970 . Six years later it went back to the district league. In the meantime slipped into the district class succeeded in 1987 the renewed promotion to the Landesliga Süd, which, however, was followed by direct relegation. Even after the third promotion in 1993, TuRa was only able to stay in the state league for two years. In 1999 the team was one of the founding members of the District Oberliga West and became its first champion. However, TuRa failed in the promotion round to the association league .

Even four years later, TuRa Meldorf failed as the master of the district league in the promotion round. It was not until the third attempt in 2005 that he was promoted to the Schleswig-Holstein upper house. Two years later, however, the relegation followed before TuRa qualified in 2008 for the newly created Association League North-West . After a runner-up in 2011 behind Husumer SV , the Meldorfer were runner-up again a year later, this time behind Schleswig 06 . A promotion round of the runners-up finally made it into the Schleswig-Holstein League. In 2016, the Meldorfer withdrew their first men's team from the game. In 2017/18, however, they took part in the games of the 10th class district class B. In the 2018/19 season, the first men's team was promoted to district class A, and in 2019/20 to the district league West.
