Makram Ben Salah (born November 5, 1986 in Offenburg ) is a German karateka . He carries the 3rd Dan in Shōtōkan . Ben Salah is world champion , multiple German champion and Baden-Württemberg regional champion in the Kumite discipline .

Athletic career

Ben Salah began his karate career in the Karate Dōjō Offenburg. After graduating from high school , he switched to the Achern karate team. During his studies he took time out from competitive and competitive sports.

Between 2008 and 2010 he started for the Lahr Karate Club. Since 2010 he has been a member of the German national karate team. In 2010 he became the heavyweight karate world champion in Edinburgh / Scotland (+90 kg).

Ben Salah achieved great national and international successes in 2015 and 2016 without a coach or club membership. In 2016, he was the first athlete in the history of the athlete's honor to receive a special award from the city of Offenburg as "athlete without club membership and coach". At the end of 2018 he moved to the former club of Regina Halmich and Vincent Feigenbutz, the Bulldog-Gym in Karlsruhe .
