Profile in the BoxRec database

Vincent Feigenbutz (born September 11, 1995 in Karlsruhe ) is a German professional boxer from Karlsruhe.

Career (since 2011)

Vincent Feigenbutz played his first professional fight as a 16-year-old on December 3, 2011 against Zdenek Siroky; he lost the subsequent fight against Roman Alesin. Since then he has defeated almost all opponents prematurely, which earned him the title of "co-prince" in the media. Against Tiran Mkrtschjan on July 27, 2013 he only just got the upper hand on points. On March 21, 2015 Feigenbutz won the WBO intercontinental title through a technical knockout against the Hungarian Balazs Kelemen, who had been undefeated in 22 fights . On July 18, 2015, he defeated the Peruvian Mauricio Reynoso in the third round and was thereby "interim" champion of the WBA . On October 17, 2015, he was able to defend the title with a very controversial point win against the Italian Giovanni de Carolis . In this fight Feigenbutz went down in the first round and was also beaten in the fourth round after a hit by his opponent. In the eyes of most observers, the Italian should have won the points. Feigenbutz then offered his opponent a rematch in the ring. This took place on January 9, 2016 in Offenburg . From the fight, which was briefly classified by the WBA as a world title fight, Carolis emerged as the winner. A few weeks after the defeat, he announced the separation from his previous coach, the new coach was Karsten Röwer .

After three build-up battles, he defeated the German-Albanian Mike Keta by knockout in the 2nd round on December 3, 2016 and thus became the IBF “Intercontinental” champion . He defended this title in 2017 against the Hungarian Norbert Nemesapati and the Argentinian Gaston Alejandro Vega and in February 2018 against the South African Ryno Liebenberg. In January 2019 he won a title fight of the insignificant Global Boxing Union , which was canceled in the fifth round in his favor, against the Polish boxer Przemysław Opalach. He was able to successfully defend the title on August 17, 2019 in Ludwigshafen against the Spaniard Cesar Nunez through TKO in the 8th round.

Feigenbutz fought for the IBF title against Caleb Plant in Nashville , USA on February 15, 2020 . The referee stopped the fight in the tenth round after Feigenbutz had already lost all rounds.

Feigenbutz 'manager between 2012 and 2020 was Rainer Gottwald from Fächer Sportmanagement GmbH. Since September 2014 he has also had a promotion contract with Sauerland Event .
