Maksim Borovikov (born February 13, 1992 in Kohtla-Järve ) is an Estonian ice hockey player who has played in the Meistriliiga with HC Vipers Tallinn since 2017 .

Career

Maksim Borovikov began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown Kohtla-Järve with the local Viru Sputniks , for whom he made his debut in the Meistriliiga at the age of 14 . After becoming Estonian champions with the team in 2010 , he moved to Tallinn Viiking Sport . He then switched between the two clubs every year. In 2013 he won the Estonian championship with Viiking. In addition to his appearances for Viru Sputnik and Viiking in the Meistriliiga, he played from 2009 to 2011 for HC Unistars Tallinn in the Latvian U18 league. In 2016/17 he played for HC Tallinn in the Meistriliiga. He then moved to HC Vipers Tallinn .

International

For Estonia , Borovikov took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in 2009 and 2010 , when he was named the best player of his team, in Division II and the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2010 , 2011 and 2012 . In the senior sector, he competed for his country in tournaments of Division II 2012 and Division I 2013 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi .
