Maksim Eftimow ( Bulgarian Максим Евтимов ; born May 28, 1995 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Ice Devils Sofia in the second Bulgarian division since 2013 .

Career

Maksim Eftimov began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Akademika Sofia . In 2008 he went to HK CSKA Sofia , with whose U16 team he won the Bulgarian championship title in 2010. After this success he moved to HC Benátky nad Jizerou , for which he first competed with the U16 and then with the U18 team in the second highest Czech division of the respective age group. In 2012/13 he was on the ice at BK Mladá Boleslav in the highest Czech U18 league. He then returned to his hometown Sofia , where he has since played with the Ice Devils in the Bulgarian second division.

International

In the junior division, Eftimov played for Bulgaria in Division III of the U-18 World Championships in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 when he was not only captain of the Bulgarians, but was also named the best player of his team, as well as the U-20 World Championships in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 .

With the Bulgarian men's national team , Eftimov took part in the World Championships in Division II 2013 and Division III 2014 .
