Malia Metella

Malia Metella (born February 23, 1982 in Cayenne , French Guiana ) is a French swimmer .

Malia Metella started for the Dauphins du TOEC from Toulouse . She won the 100 m freestyle title at the 2004 European Swimming Championships . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , Metella won the silver medal in over 50 m freestyle. In 2005 she took part in the World Swimming Championships in Montreal , where she finished 2nd in 100 m freestyle with Natalie Coughlin . At the European Swimming Championships in Budapest in 2006 , Metella won the bronze medal with the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay .
