Solenne Figuès

Solenne Figuès (born June 6, 1979 in Villepinte ) is a French swimmer .

She took part in the French team at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games . She had her first international success at the European Championships in 2000 when she won the bronze medal in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , she then won another bronze medal in the 200 m freestyle . She had her greatest success at the 2005 World Swimming Championships in Montreal , where she won the gold medal in the 200 m freestyle.

In parallel to her athletic career, she completed a physiotherapy degree in Toulouse .
